I'm trying very hard to get the word out and have gotten a lot of interest from CoffeeGeek's advertising and forums and going door to door to local (Washington D.C.) pour-over coffee shops, but it's slow going finding people who love and value coffee the way we do and spreading the app by word of the mouth. Update February 2022: Untappd has increased its price to 899/year for all businesses including businesses that have been with them for years, a 50 increase on their previous pricing. The app also makes recommendations based on your previous ratings. ![]() Of course, users can add coffees/roasters as well. I wrote a web scraper on the backend that automatically goes out to roasters' websites (Intelligentsia, Stumptown, Blue Bottle, Terroir, etc) and every night to keep listings up to date, including prices and direct links to buy from the roaster's store. Users can rate, tag, and share coffees from the app as well as locate nearby shops and roasters. The original idea was an Untappd (beer) for coffees and was born out of a want to keep track of the coffees I'd tried and what I thought of them. Developer of Caffeine (Android/iOS) here.
